Congratulations to the winners of the first Friends of St. Joseph Bay Preserves Nature Photo Contest! We wish to thank all entrants for taking valuable time to submit some wonderful photos, all of which will be exhibited at Port St. Joe and Apalachicola. Everyone is invited to the opening reception on January 14 at the Apalachicola Center for History, Culture, and Art and the closing reception at the Preserves Center on February 11.

We hope that the photos showcasing the natural beauty of St. Joseph Bay and surrounding region will inspire you to protect the natural areas and heritage of St. Joseph Bay.

All photo contest proceeds benefit the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve.

Photo Exhibit Schedule

The first exhibit will be in Apalachicola at the Apalachicola Center for History, Culture, and Art for two weeks from January 14 through January 28. An opening reception with refreshments will be held at the Apalachicola Center on Saturday January 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. ET.

The photos will be exhibited in Port St. Joe for one week at the Preserves Center beginning on Bay Day on February 4. A closing reception with refreshments will be held on Saturday February 11 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET at the Preserves Center.

The Preserves Center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. Please call the Preserves Center at (850)229-1787 to see if someone is available during lunch hour.

Photos Are For Sale

Many of the exhibited photos are for sale. You may purchase them at any time during the exhibit by prsenting a check to the Buffer or Apalachicola Center staff made payable to the Friends of St. Joseph Bay Preserves. Photos may be picked up after the exhibit's conclusion on February 11.
